"It's a relief," Molumby said. "It's hard to describe the feeling because we've been underperforming in many games. The previous match was particularly embarrassing, and I take responsibility for that."
He continued, "We need to come together and build on tonight's performance. We must be honest with each other, support one another, and fight as a team. While we get along well, we can't be overly nice when things aren't going our way."
Molumby stressed the need for brutal honesty within the team until the end of the season. He praised the team's performance tonight, noting their solid away game, but highlighted the recurring issue of errors leading to goals against them.
"The first goal for Derby sums up our season," Molumby explained. "We've made a few mistakes this season, and every error is being punished. We need to eliminate these mistakes."
Looking ahead, Molumby emphasized the importance of focusing on each game individually, with their attention now turning to the upcoming match against Portsmouth.
"We'll take it one game at a time until the end of the season," he concluded. "The minimum effort we showed tonight is what we must demand from each other. We need to improve and focus on Portsmouth next week."
