Campus New Brunswick and MyCreds® Partner to Revolutionize Learner Mobility in the Province
CampusNB is proud to announce a groundbreaking initiative that will transform the way students access their academic records in New Brunswick. Through a partnership with MyCreds®, Canada's National Digital Credential Network, the province is taking a giant leap forward in learner mobility.
This collaboration, funded by the New Brunswick Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training, and Labour via CampusNB, will provide all member institutions with the tools to seamlessly integrate MyCreds®. This means learners and credential holders will enjoy unprecedented mobility, with their academic records becoming portable and digital across the entire province and beyond.
Dr. Kim Fenwick, CampusNB Co-Chair and Provost at St. Thomas University, emphasizes the significance of this partnership, stating, 'By connecting students with their credentials and building a state-of-the-art network, we're enhancing the educational experience in New Brunswick. This initiative is a game-changer for our students and institutions.'
Dr. Sheldon MacLeod, Executive Director and CampusNB Co-Chair, adds, 'This initiative is a significant step towards seamless student mobility in New Brunswick. By investing in a coordinated approach, we ensure learners have the same access to their digital academic records, empowering them to succeed locally, nationally, and internationally.'
The initiative builds on successful models in other provinces, where provincial support accelerated the adoption of digital credential platforms. New Brunswick learners and graduates will benefit from a consistent, modern, and learner-centric digital credential platform, fostering mobility and strengthening connections between learners, employers, and institutions.
To celebrate this milestone, CampusNB and MyCreds® representatives gathered at St. Thomas University on December 10 for an official contract signing. The event showcased the collaborative spirit and the positive impact this partnership will have on students, graduates, and institutions as New Brunswick embraces a fully digital, learner-centric credential ecosystem.
New Brunswick Becomes a Pioneer
With this announcement, New Brunswick becomes the second province in Canada to fully adopt the MyCreds® bilingual, National Network. Jodi Tavares, Executive Director of MyCreds®, expresses her excitement, 'As a proud New Brunswick resident, I'm thrilled to partner with CampusNB in this province-wide rollout. Together, we're removing barriers for Canadian learners by offering secure, portable, and trusted digital credentials.'
